  • Brett,

I signed up with BMG through your Fee iPod post, and have recieved my cd's, but I have not recieved anything from the company that offers the free iPod's telling me who to set this up on my own.

I figure I can get at least five people at the Hospital to sign up, but I need to know how to start the account, or what not. Also, I want you to get credit for me signing up.

  • Jason,

I looked at Free iPods.com and it looks like somehow you didn’t get credited (nor did I) for the BMG thing you did. I’m not sure why. However, the people at Free iPods.com can work it out, but you have to be the one to contact them. You can do that and get help regarding this issue by going to this link:

    http://www.freeipods.com/Faqs.aspx

When you talk to them to request that they credit you for purchasing the BMG thing, make sure to tell them that you were referred by me. They will probably need my referral link, which is:

They should be able to resolve it. Thanks for helping!

  • That's exactly what happened to me! A friend signed up and completed an offer, but neither of us received credit. Even when he went back and forth with customer service, nothing ever came of it -- except a lot of spam. Good luck you two... hope it works out better than mine.

  • What happens is if you don't purchase in an exactly linear fashion from the link (no using the back button, clicking around on different links, etc), then you sometimes don't get credit.

On the Spam thing. Free iPods.com has been reinstated as a TrustE site, meaning that they don't do spam or sell your email address.

  • Hey Brett, Long story short I found your blog via stu's rants via tallskinnykiwi. I am youth pastor in CT and used to live on Fayetteville. Anyway I just followed the free Ipod. I'd be curious to know if it actually works for you. Thanks man, peace and prayers. TK

  • Hey Hark,

Well, something wasn't right when I, or any of my friends joined, because we all got spammed -- and I was using an email address I've never used elsewhere before. Now... there's this to read: http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/portable-media/ipod/freeipodscom-loses-truste-032672.php

  • I don't doubt you got spammed. I too have read that link you posted. As far as I can tell, since then, Free iPods.com (actually their parent network, Gratis) has been recertified with TrustE since then.

  • TK, thanks for signing up. I'll let you know when I get credit!
